Has anybody here had pancreatitis more than once? Just got admitted for the second time. Kinda of doped up right now, so forgive me if I ramble. Just asking if the times between attacks get shorter in duration.

Twice. maybe three times. i went to hospital for only the first.

yes they happened more frequently.

Mine was alcohol induced. If yours are too its time to get help.

It's not alcohol or drugs. And they ruled out gallbladder. It's not as bad this time. Should get out in a couple more days.

I have had it twice. The first time it came out of the blue. The second came a month or so later and it was caused by a scope they did on a cyst that was left by the first one. They never figured out what caused the original pancreatitis. I am not much of a drinker. They said if I had it again I would need to have my gallbladder out. That was about 6 years ago now with no more issues. Hopefully that same will happen to you. I feel for you. It sucks and was the sickest I have ever been.

This time hasn't been as bad. I caught it early since I recognized the symptoms. Still sucks not being able to eat.
