The Scavenger Diet

With food costs and obesity at an all time high I have come up with a diet that I believe will be the next big thing. The Scavenger Diet.
Maybe only works well if you have kids but you could adapt it to a childless home as well.
The main idea is you don’t make or buy anything for yourself. You can eat as much of other peoples leftovers as you want. With several kids in the house this is very doable and you are also saving food waste.
I have thought about doing this in restaurants but havn’t gotten the nerve yet. You could maybe buy drinks and an appetizer and then eat the leftovers of the table next to you.
If somebody knows what they’re doing could you work on the science. Bonus points if you can show how it would save the planet and we can advertise to Gen Z as a way to help out.

It also requires a little intestinal fortitude not to load your kids up with a bunch of extra food that you know they won’t eat.

I go to my mother in laws once or twice week and collect all her restaurant leftovers. She eats like a bird and never eats her leftovers. She eats out almost every day.
