So my schedule has been a bit hectic lately. I had to do my Saturday workout on Sunday, which is one of my rest days. So Sunday was T1 (heavy bench) T2 squats and T3 arm work. Monday is scheduled for chest accessory work (close grip dumbbell press, fly machine, close grip bench, svend press, hi lo cable cross, and arm work.

One question is did I do myself a disservice by going on with my Monday workout without a rest day?

Given the choice would you rather just miss the accessory day or power through it without the benefit of the rest day?

If this happens too frequently will I see negative impacts?

Holy Overthinking Batman!

If you can and/or want to lift, do so. If you feel like you need a rest, take a rest.

Rest is important but don't overthink it. If you are lifting 3-5 times a week you are already doing better than most Americans.

Why get bent out of shape about 1 week. Working out is a lifetime activity. There are ebbs and flows in everyone's schedule during the year. Just don't have long periods of inactivity /bad diet and poor sleep and you will be gold.

Appreciate it. I get pretty OCD and probably read too much “do this not this” type lit on lifting.

I’m in the gym today, and I will say that heavy bench Sunday, and close grip on Monday made today’s T2 bench feel a lot heavier than last week. No big deal though.
