That’s a lot of beef up front for a hard tail. I’m rocking a 120mm Sid on my Ti SS.

My son and I played parts roulette last night. He has set up his Druid for Enduro but he wanted to put it on a diet to get it to more trail bike weight. Started at 34.8lbs and we got it down to 32.5, part of which was moving that 36 to his bike. Moved the Mattoc over to my Nimble 9. The frame is designed for 140-160mm of travel and I had the 36 at 150. I'll try the Mattoc at 140 but I can stretch it to 150. Saved me 350 grams which should help offset the weight of the aero bars I want to put on it.

This isnt his bike just one just a picture of one exactly like his except his is set up as a mullet.~30-31lbs without pedals is a pretty common landing place for a trail bike. The high pivot idler system adds a bit of weight. 35mm handlebars also add weight and you can't find aero bars that clip on to that handlebar diameter.

It's ~28lbs in that picture. With the fork swap and crank swap and carbon bars and It's sitting at 26.8lbs as of last night. Will need new pictures.

Nice! And definitely the way Enduro is moving in our area. Way too many flat pedal stages where you can make up more time than being able to send the tech descents. My kid was racing my Izzo for AES (until he cracked the frame), and the series winner last year raced an Epic Evo. His Capra was just way too much bike for our area's enduros.

I'm so bummed about my Izzo frame cracking. I've got a beefed up Stumpy Evo that I use for gravity... but I absolutely loved the travel and weight of my izzo for my daily riding. So far no luck from YT on a warranty/crash replacement as they don't even have any XL Izzo frames available at the moment.

My son went with the Druid put an 1 degree angle set and Ziggy link mullet setup. 150/130 But that high pivot and the rearward axle path is amazing the way it eats up chunk. The rear end feels more like a 170 bike going through chunk.

That's been an ongoing issue for the last month or so. The German part of the company is in self-administration. North American operations are still "unaffected" (despite YT Mills in NA having the majority of their employees furloughed and the demo operations shelved, hopefully temporarily).

We will see if they emerge out the other side. It's going to be tough, because the consumer confidence in the brand has been damaged pretty heavily, especially in the European market. No angel investors came swooped in to save the day either, which was what was rumored to be in the works.

We will see. I really love the brand, and they've been a fantastic addition to our local bike scene. It's been an excellent fit for my son, and he's had some amazing experiences thanks to his work with them (hanging out and filming and riding with Jack Moir, Kasper Wooley, Dylan Stark, Erik Fedko, Tippie, etc..) and getting a small feature in a video part. We've loved him working with YT, but it's tough when things are so up in the air, especially this time of year when folks are all putting together their rides for next year.

The Druid is an insane bike, and probably the best example of "high pivot magic" in my opinion. Finn rode a GT Force with the high pivot, and it was definitely planted, especially because his bike just prior to the Force was a Status, which has really short chainstays and whose rear is the opposite of planted.

49 miles today. Hung with the A group.

But I’m pretty sure they could have dropped me if they wanted.

There ya go! I haven’t been joining the Saturday group rides a ton the last couple months. The A+ group will leave with 30-40 people and sometimes it’s constant shenanigans. I’m not trying to go to the hospital cause people are over their limit staring at their stem.

3hrs on the mountain bike yesterday and 2.5hrs with my buddy and his son on the road this morning

Ha-our A group is usually 5-10 people and all are pretty diligent riders. There are a couple that are hardcore that keep everyone in line if a mistake is made, which in the end makes for a safer and better experience for all. I do think that some are intimidated by it, though, and don’t understand it’s for the safety of themselves and the group.

22 miles this morning across zones to beat the rain this afternoon. Windy as hell.

Sounds like you are getting in some good hours.

Iya generakt the slower groups with wannabes that are the most dangerous. The fast group is pretty disciplined and the wannabes Gey dropped pretty quick

with all the people that have moved to this area over the last 5 years, our fast groups have just grown to a pretty big size and quite a few will be able to hang on for dear life. Most everyone on this ride is "disciplined" to the point that they can hang on for ~80miles averaging 24mph, but some of them are just sketchy af. some people ride bikes better than others lol. sometimes there is lots of yelling...

we do an A+, A, and B on Saturdays and each ride will have 20-40 people depending on the day

I think what maybe you’re seeing is what someone said previously about great Zwift riders having great physical ability, but be otherwise poorly trained for group rides on the road.

yea that's definitely part of it too... enough power to sit in the draft and hang on but zero bike handling skills.
