Blink is hard to beat. You can attach them to a wall wart and run them continually or just use the battery mode.
If you use wall warts you can get Geeni at Harbor Freight and control the camera's power allowing you to turn them on and off. I can schedule them not to run when I want or all turn on/off together.

I have two nest doorbells and two nest cameras on the side and one on the backyard/ pool area. They work great and easy to set up. Don’t know why I ended up with nest but I would buy again.
