House Siding - Royal Celect vs Everlast?

We're replacing the siding on the house, and I've never had to buy it before. I know there are huge differences in quality. We want somthing that will look good, require minimal maintenance, and last a long time.
Two that come up are a closed cell PVC option from Royal called "Celect" and a composite option called "Everlast."
Everlast sounds great. The only thing I'm not keen on is that it's butt jointed at the seems. Although there's a bracket to reduce expansion/contraction, it still soesn't seem wise for water intrusion.
Celect locks in place at the seems.
We're not interested in Hardie or LP Smart side.
Anyone have experience with Celect, Everlast, or other siding advice?

Just curious, but why not? I prefer Allura FC over hardi but man it's a great product. We install it all the time.

Thanks for the reply.
Mainly, I knew a people would recommend it if I didn't expressly said we weren't interested, but we had it on our house in BR and didn't love it.
Didn't seem to hold up well to the splash where the water would bounce back from the concrete. Just kind of crumbled in spots. I think that can be mitigated with some banding around the bottom. Again, just wasn't blown away by it.
Main thing is painting. Quotes on painting our home is ~$20k, and it's only going to go up over time. That's not appealing, pun intended. I guess the positive is that we could change colors if we wanted. Everlast is solid surface, so there's no need to paint even if scratched, etc.
