Do yourself a favor and get a stand for it.
Mounted mine on an old coffee table and added locking casters to the legs. Some scrap wood and clamps help keep my longer pieces sturdy.
Good little saw.

I got to spend some time on Saturday with my new Ryobi 7.25” sliding saw. It was open box deal from Home Depot so I ended up getting it for just over $80. They give you a 3 year limited manufacturer warranty and I bought a two year protection plan when the manufacturers warranty ends.
It came out of the box cutting 90*. I was only cutting pine so I am curious how it handles more dense lumber. It is so much better and more time efficient trying to make circular saw cuts.
They built it so you can turn a 2x4 on its side and it lines up flush with the base so you can make low cost extensions on it.

Think those little saws use skill saw blades, I'd get a Freud Diablo thin-kerf framing blade swapped in if you're cutting mostly dimensional lumber. Probably would make a significant difference in how that saw cuts, especially wet treated lumber.
