if you do get into town you'll have to take 10 to 55 to 12. Only a slight detour really

Fwiw I could see.how someone 40 mom away and their town is flooding could find it annoying that people talk about how easy this storm is.
I don't really care because I love jokes and trolls...but I see where some people can come from

Update from Lutcher - power went out at 6:00 this morning. Cable about 10 minutes before that. I phone service off and on. mostly off. Have. Verizon and sprint and sometimes one or other works. Lost some shingles. Moderate size branches down in immediate area it didn't hit anything. Heard some trees down. In town. Rained pretty much all day and some squall winds but not too bad after noon. Counting our blessings

we're talking about others in BR who think this is worse than Gustav overall for the city. No one has down played what happened around NOLA

I don't know how far you can trust Entergy's outage map. According to it, my whole neighborhood's been out since 10 AM, and that's actually when the power came back on.
It went out at 7:30 AM, came back around 10, and has flickered a couple of times since then. Cox has never wavered.
