That was for confirmation. I live there too, we're out to eat at walk-on 's just to get away. I hope it's the whole neighborhood back on

Best news I've ever read on TD if true

Just got back home in Gonzales. Doesn't appear we lost power at all and there's a couple of tree branches down.

I didn't have power for a grand total of about 45 seconds through all this.
I still can't believe it.

I lost power for a little under 2 hrs yesterday...When it came back on, my central AC was dead. (I ran it really hard to keep the house cold in case of a power failure). I checked everything I could as far as thrown breaker, loose wires, etc. but now I'll have to have someone check it out for me. Anyone have good luck with an AC business in Ascension?

Yes. Louie's AC I believe. Helped me out a couple times when I couldn't get my dad to come out and do it for me.

After reading this statement and those made in response by fellow posters, my initial impulse was to refute this defamation of my family’s character by elaborating on the many reasons as to why we possess none of the aforementioned traits. However, rather than trying to persuade the online community of my family’s innocence in the matter I will do my best to summarize the series of events that took place several years ago, which resulted in an honest mistake. Like a coin, every story has two sides and there are a few explanations left out in the mentioned account. After recently acquiring a house on Old Jefferson Highway, we purchased the land and building(s) of what is now Tommy’s Fish House from our neighbor. In the latter phase of development, our neighbor made mention of an abandoned Esso sign “ditched by the side of the road”, to put it in his own words. This sign was also amidst a pile of farm debris, which our neighbor said had been stagnant for some time now. Satellite Imagery obtained by authorities confirmed this scenario. Our restaurant decorator retrieved the sign in broad daylight. Framed on the opposite side of the restaurant was an identical Esso sign, but a bit smaller and with less corrosion. This sign was in fact purchased at Daigle Hill Antiques on Jefferson Highway, who reported that the sign in question did not come from their store. To sum it up, in our possession were two comparable Esso signs with two different points of origin. The sign was willingly given back after investigation and an offer to purchase the sign was made as well. Admittedly, we are not originally from Ascension Parish but by no means does that constitute us as outsiders. We have a vested interest in this parish and try to do our best to serve the citizens of Ascension. I myself, as well as volunteer employees, operated the restaurant throughout the storm. We worked around the clock to provide nourishment and ice for nursing homes, Entergy, and families in need. Our efforts were not guided by profits and revenues, but by the gratification received in helping OUR community. Those residents and neighbors that have had a chance to personally get to know my family can attest to our reputable name. Never would I have thought a simple, explainable misunderstanding to conjure such animosity. Please take this as my public apology for the unintentional conflict with your family.
