*sigh* Marriage. Being right or wrong in an argument is relative. Old-timers know to let their spouse be wrong until it blows up in their face.

Westminster lights off Jefferson still holding strong.

Yes... But does CNN have Jim Cantore and Al Roker giving accurate, up-to-the-minute live reports?

If they're smart they'd do everything in their power to keep Gardere and NBR on so they can keep them somewhat entertained in their own homes and not wandering the streets.

and exactly how do they do that?? stand underneath the pole and hold it up when the wind blows too hard?

Stilll have power down Brightside. However, the breeze has picked up considerably in the last 30 minutes or so.

I'm guessing we lose power pretty soon. I'm not happy about the idea of putting down my drink to start the generator, but that is how the situation on the morning of an impending natural disaster crumbles, I guess...

Yes, the wind has picked up considerably here, and Westminster still has power for now...at least on my street and across. Damm, I'm a po' boy and I can suffer through a power outage, heat, and rationing of foodstuffs, but to lose internet will fricking kill me!

I'm down Jefferson pretty close to you and I'm pretty sure I lose power soon. I flickered a lot last night, so I'm shocked its still working.

*knocking on wood furiously*

The lights never flickered over here, though the internet slowed down a little (ATT DSL), but I'm afraid that won't last much longer...

Turn those air conditioners down low, close all your curtains and get it cold before power is out. It will hold a bit.
