I guess those Bastrop kids on the sideline that were wearing the 3 peat shirts can take them off. I wonder if Bastrop or whoever made the shirts, paid Pat Riley for the rights to use the phrase 3 peat

If BC can eliminate the turnovers, they should win. First matchup, they gave Shaw the ball in the red zone twice with turnovers. Also, Mathrene throws an INT in the endzone as BC was about to score in the 3rd qtr. Shaw returns it near midfield and scores on that drive - potentially a 14 point swing.
BTW, BC fell behind Bastrop 14-0 tonight too. First 2 offensive possessions got into the red zone only to come up empty with an INT & a failed 4th down conversion attempt (I believe a fake FG).

I think the teams are well matched, but I will take Bairnsfather over Becnel any day.

I think that's the difference maker. Becnel on the sidelines is the one thing that shocks me about BC making it this far

It will be a great game. Doesn't matter what us has beens say on this board. The young men on the field will determine the game. The way it should be.

Absolutely on the BC education. When my office moved from BC to Luling last year, the main reason I stayed in BC was because of the schools. If there's a better public school system in the state, I'd be surprised.

I disagree...I think the Salmen coach, while lost to Shaw tonight...should win the coach of the year with how he turned that program around after Katrina. It was once a powerhouse and once again is.

Salmen has a sophomore qb that is very good from what I hear.

Salmen's coach is Gerald Leonard. The program was down after Stubbs left it a mess in 2002 for so. Leonard got them back into quarter finals and such and then lost 90% of the team through Katrina and has again rebuilt the team.
