That's just plain stupid. Wouldn't his mom be going wherever Stepdad goes anyway
Whats stupid is to make that comment when you dont know the situation. And if you read my post, I never said his stepdad/former coach is going.
Cruthfield didnt just get fired for being an a$$hole coach.. Part of it is a personal situation with the Sup Rouselle that led to personal things inside the family

Sylve is not IMO.
Well all the big time schools think he is a top 100 player as well as the scouting services..
Plus the star rating is a joke anyways.. Every recruit has strenghts and weaknesses..
And to compare him to Xavier Carter is ridiculous... Carter was track guy from the start.. BS is a football player first with track speed... Yeah he ran a 10.8 at state.. It was his 4th meet back since his foot surgery.. Ran a 10.4 as a sophomore.. Was 2nd at the Nike Invitation to a SR as a sophomore and barely lost... Do some research..Google can be your friend

Is South Plaquemines the end all be all of Louisiana? If a kid is leaving the state and a school that he dreamed about playing for based on a situation that happened in Plaquemines parish, kid can't be too bright.

The only top 100 list available right now is Scout, and he's not on it. In fact, he's not in their top 200.

Which is the same thing they said about Carter... and the same thing they say about every fast guy... "This guy can really run, but he's a football player first." Different character, same story.

Funny that you tell me Sylve is a football player first and commence to discuss his track accolades.

Ironic, considering you said all the scouting services have him in the top 100... and none of them do.
I'm not going to sit here and downplay the kid. Does he have a chance to be a great player? Sure. He's a small guy with good speed.
My point is now and has been throughout the entire thread, Sylve is not on the plain of Rueben Randle, Joe McKnight, Andrew Whitworth, Marcus Spears, Michael Clayton etc. of in-state guys that are a devastating loss if they go elsewhere. He's a very good player, but there's dozens of guys just like him all across the country and while I like keeping top instate guys home (and I think he'll end up flipping anyways), what's most important is getting great talent, no matter where it's from.

Brad will stay with his commitment. One his mother has made that decision.

Brad's mom pretty much stated he will be BAMA bound. Mom's have their way.

Good pickup then. I'd love to have him.. but honestly it's more to lock an incredible year in Louisiana down than it is to have him as a Tiger.
I just don't see the need for 3+ slot receivers in 2 years though.

Currently LSU has 11 commits and doing just fine. It is important for LSU to have a good season. If Les doesn't the Tigers will be looking for a new coach.

I think Tuck has a point about LSU having a long time to turn him. In his position, if you're not sure which of the two you want to pick...you choose the OOS early to lock in your opportunity there, all the while knowing full well the in-state school is going to keep coming. And in the end, if you do switch to the in-state school, it's "to be expected" and nobody can blame you whereas if you do it the other way around, you're forever a turncoat. It's a win-win situation for him. So why not?

You are the one who said he didnt have elite speed.. So thats why I listed his track accomplishments..
He is on ESPN 150 watch list as well as Rivals watch list.. Already An Under Amer All American.. And he only played 2 games his JR year due to the foot injury.. All State WR as a Soph and play both sides the ball.. Never said he was Randle or Landry for that matter... But to say he isnt better then the rest of the WRs LSU signed is foolish. Different skil set.. And Joe went to SC and I dont see how that hurt LSU.
And he wont flip.. And for the rest of you.. He hurt his elbow in spring practice the other day and it prob will require surgery.. So now you can hammer him

He's injury prone and hasn't played in a football game in a long time. There's nothing to bash about his athletic ability.. but he's a 250 player imo, at best. Think about how incredible that is.. to be one of the 250 best football players in highschool.. it's not a knock on him whatsoever.
So he committed to Bama the 'other day' and he hurt his elbow and it will probably require surgery the 'other day'. Are the two connected?
I just saw that Irish man called Sylve our 'prime target' at WR on tidefans

Nows that krazy talk.. Would I have loved for him to come to LSU..Of course.. But he is a luxury at this point for us.. Of those committed, I wud say Landry/Collins/Johnson/Hilliard is a must have and would be the only ones from this class that would be a negative toward LSU..
His foot injury wasnt a contact injury.. Tried to block a kick and came down wrong.. He does need to get bigger and stronger and he will def require a redshirt once he get to college

Anyone know if he really does have a surgery requiring elbow injury?
