he's more in the 2nd or 3rd tier of guys this year, so im not sure its a huge statement. Had Saban pulled Landry I'd be worried.
quote:I can agree w/ this but he's a kid that absolutely should be at LSU and this offense needs all the play-makers available.
he was more of a luxury than necessity

Jeezus we need a new generation of fans..most of LSU longtime fans are shellshocked, know it alls, crybabies, shallow minded, mentally burned out//lost their optimism for sports, debbie downers, grinch that stole x-mas,full grown men some younger, middle age, some senior citizens are actually bitching and weeping over 16,17,and 18 year old kids..like their obligated to sign with certain schools just because their from the state..high school kids are not slaves they are human beings that make the best decision that fit their situation..most of you had your chances when you we're in high school ..respect the kids decision..if it's getting so painful for you when players make certain decisions..maybe you should take a break from sports....yall really act like those kids are on the meat market..beg for them to come to the school you represent then after their playing days are over or either they get in trouble you shite on them
like your doin Jamarcus,Glenn Dorsey etc..you want loyalty from the players but you clowns have no loyalty

If he was so interested in track, why would he go to Bama? How can he be worried about depth when Bama has 3 WRs already committed and they are a run first team? I don't see Bama WRs getting drafted every year like LSU.
Anyone know if he still makes his planned visits this summer at LSU? I'd think we're far from out of this with a guy who originally said he almost committed here already...

i doubt we are out of it by a longshot, especially with how much time left, and who's in charge of his recruitment.
there were whispers on TB that the LSU staff had gone for a while without contacting him, so maybe they cooled off a bit? im sure the truth is somewhere in the middle of all that.

that's my impression.. which is partially why i'm not devastated by the loss.

His injury might be why LSU cooled on him but they might have done that because they felt he was ours to lose. Which he should be. I don't understand this move at all.
It would also explain why LSU keeps offering other WRs...or perhaps they knew ahead of time he was going to Bama. Hes coming off major ligament surgery, so concern is there injury wise. I'm hoping he still makes his visits to LSU this summer.

I dont know if LSU cooled or anything, but 5'11 WRs haven't exactly fared well at LSU lately anyway.

I think they were using that as a negative recruiting tool considering what UA has done with smaller guys.
About the only way you're going to negative recruit LSU at WRs is say they're not successful with smaller guys. Because other than that, all our guys get drafted fairly high. I think that has more to do we haven't really had many on the roster though...we need a guy like this on the roster.
Can't complain having Landry though, hes a better Football player but I'd say Sylve is the bigger need because of the world class speed...something we don't have at WR right now. I'm not even sure RS is as fast as people think.

Chris Mitchell and Jared Mitchell off the top of my head.

Aside from that who though? Last I can remember is Skyler Green and he went in the 4th round. Hawkins was from Saban era and left after his Freshman year to be a stud at Cal...
JM was always more of a Baseball guy anyway, I think him playing two sports hurt him in Football.

At some point in time a shitty offense (112)and NO changes will have to catch up to you. It doesn't take a real scholar to look at clock management issues, a quarterback that can't get the ball to you, and misuse of talent to have top state talent to start looking around especially when Saban won a NC last year.

I knew it. People were calling me paranoid...frick

i rather give them sylve, a 5 11'' wr than a big talented ol or dl.
we have good wr's, maybe better than sylve. lsu will be fine. it's not like bama has some explosive passing game.

Motherfricker!! I just proposed to my g/f only to read this shite. My day has just been ruined.

His biggest asset was his speed. Until he can prove he has regained that he won't have much of an impact.
Posted on 5/12/10 at 6:23 pm to Sofa King Crimson
We don't need him because we have Landry...he plays against lousy competition...he's too short...character issues...never really wanted him...etc etc.
