people are going to crow over this class, which no doubt will be really good - maybe even top 5 - but this "no OC hire till after the bowl game" was a fricking blunder. we shouldnt be giving O credit - we should be giving credit to the 2 QB commits that pushed his hand and forced him to hire an OC.

O's hands were tied on the OC situation. He committed to delivering Kiffin so had to wait 'till that train had completely derailed.
I thank the Lord above Kiffin didn't get the job, huge blessing and it's not even in disguise.

LSU ended up w/ a strong OC hire and it MIGHT cost us one good recruit for waiting a few weeks. There was no guarantee LSU would get Akers even w/ a new OC.

Indeed he did, but as much as I would've hated the Kiffin hire, I find it admirable that Coach O stuck to his word even though Kiffin was dragging O and the LSU program through the mud. That took guts.
