Yep, when Shula's players start to filter out of the program it'll crumble.

Bama is going to suck in 2009 for the reason you just pointed out ... they don't have a QB

The same thing was being said about LSU this year and I would venture to say that Lee has done much better than a lot of people expected him to. We won't know until they actually get in the game. We do have McElroy who's been in the system for a while, but I'm really not sold on his ability as of yet. According to the insiders, Star Jackson is the real deal, he just needs to work on his timing. He's a more natural QB than JPW, even with JPW's years of experience at QB.

With that being said, I think 2009 depends on how the O-line and the offense perform and I can already see problems there. If you were going by depth, then 2010 looks to be a good year and as you mentioned, we should be loaded by 2011.

I was called a douchebag in the other thread when I stated he might be seriously going to Bama too because I've been reading rumblings/hearing on it lately too...

Its still all rumors but we'll have to wait and see...

I doubt dmitch actually said that to anyone as I'm sure not even he knows at this point where Randle is going because I don't think Randle knows either. Hes stated many times before hes "open" and doesn't have a favorite...

Missloutiger, my cousin goes to Ouachita and that is exactly what I heard too...he was favoring Bama at the moment(he didn't say he was going there, just favoring).

My cousin also told me before this recruiting season started, he heard rumblings Conner would be going OOS...you can see it in my post history..I was called a moron then too.

I wouldn't put too much stock into it because its a rumor. Wasn't even really thinking about it much until recently and especially since I saw this thread. Why would people in that area be talking like this, maybe they know something? I'm going to talk to my cousin this week and relay it to the boards...

Dmitch comes on here all the time and I find it hard to believe he just told some random where his bro was going. Thats not even his right to do that. Knowing Dmitch from this site and how he presents himself on here thats not something he would just reveal especially without his brothers consent. If Reuben really wanted to go to Bama I think we would know that by now. Sonny Ship even got a text from someone showing him at school wearing a LSU hat.

Maybe he told them that so they would leave him the hell alone

But I agree with you Cody...he presents himself well and I don't think he'd do that. In the case of my cousin, its one of those retarded things where they know a superstar in the area and their is a million false rumors floating around them(probably). But I do think Alabama is a bigger player than a lot of LSU fans want to admit...

I have no idea where Randle will go but I like the way he's acted. He's been bery similar to Julio Jones in that he seems to be worried more about making the right decision than getting media attention. He just strikes me as a classy kid that wants to stay low and make a good decision on his next 4 (or maybe 3) years.

He is a very good kid and hes the kind of guy we want so bad on LSU

That is one of the main reasons LSU is such a resilient team, they have incredible character guys like this. He fits in perfect as a Tiger. Not saying Bama doesn't have great character but I am saying LSU has more

Look at the WRs LSU has sent to the NFL in the last 6 years, under two different coaches. That is the continued strength of LSU as a program.

This isn't Joe Mcknight, where Mcknight's skill set followed in the example of a specific other player so it make sense to go to USC. If RR wants to go to a bad Miami team or go to Bama just because he stubbornly only wants to look at getting away from home rather than the opportunities in front of him; then its RR's loss.

Don't get me wrong, I hope LSU wins out and wins the BCSNC ... BUT, LSU still has a long way to go and very well could "suck" by the end of this season ... there's still a lot of football to be played.

Why so quick to pizz on Bowman and Kelly?. But I'm sure you would argue that Bowman and Kelly will also be immediate starters if you thought it would help Bama's cause.

Bama's biggest and most obvious problem is that it will have no QB. Now if RR wants to play QB in college, then Bama is THE obvious choice, no doubt about that.

I've always wondered about that as well. Good explanation.

I still think a weak offense will get you killed in the SEC because the defenses are so strong (See Hogs) and I think Bama will be pretty weak on offense next year and will also have UF rotating onto the schedule, which can't be good.
