He also said if he ever got an LSU offer he would be all LSU. One way or another, at least some part of it is just recruit-talk.

But if he gets a LSU offer and takes it he is a liar, if he sticks with Bama he isn't? Sounds like you are the one with an attack on the kid.

It was his dream to play for LSU. Now is he going to act like a mad kid and say I'm not going to LSU b/c of something that happened early in the recruiting process, or is going to fulfill his dream.

If playing at LSU was his dream he will regret it later on. I know several of McKnight's family and Joe did regret not coming to LSU. He enjoys USC but he still has the regret in him.

Those moronic Bama assholes are whats wrong with this board. They come and try to make LSU look bad like every recruit is watching to see us slip up and go running to Bama. Its very juvenile and pathetic.

Yep...I've wondered if they spend half as much time on other boards...something tells me they don't and that says something about them and their perceptions and not LSU

Luther Davis lied. Maybe the LA kids that are going to Bama want it to seem that LSU offered and wanted them but in reality its the opposite.

Joe was at the game in a suite. Some LSU fans left him a nice sign in the suite saying something like "If you chose LSU you would be playing for the naitonal championship today".

Sweet mother of JEEBUS!!

What the frick difference does any of this make?

Bama has good players. LSU has good players.

LSU will get the VAST majority of LA kids. Bama will get the VAST majority of AL kids.

Let this stupid pissing match go

He did the right thing. Saban wanted him from the beginning. Even if he was unable to qualify. Even if meant not getting him for a year or two. Saban remained committed to wanting him at Alabama next year or whenever and Miles never was.

I agree its dumb as frick to be arguing about this, but he's calling these kids liars and his example was of a guy that was committed to lsu. How the hell does a kid not have an offer and be committed at the same time.

meh.....

I replied to you, but I was making a GENERAL statement. Both programs are good enough ( and located near enough) that there will be a FEW players pick one team over the other. It will go both directions. It says NOTHING about the programs. It will be more about the wants of the kid and the depth chart.

I'm not saying Sentimore is lying, but we know for a fact Davis' scholarship was pulled.

West Monroe coach Don Shows said, “I know coach Miles called me … and told me they had withdrawn their offer. That does not surprise me. He’s just a kid that didn’t handle recruiting very good.”

My last post on the subject. Everyone knows he was offered, then committed, then lied about visiting bama, and then had his scholly offer yanked because of it. Now someone please translate this to the retard above.

1) Prospect X has an offer and is committed to program A

2) Prospect X agrees not to take other visits under a general guideline of commitments to school A (though the school in question has been extremely lenient in this if the player informs the staff that they will be taking visits).

3) Prospect X takes a visit to school B, a university in the mix for his services, neglecting to tell school A about his trip.

4) School A calls to find out about prospect visiting school B, and the prospect denies any connection with school B.

5) School A finds out that the statements from prospect X are not true and they pull his scholarship.

There. You have a kid who does not have an offer and was committed at the same time (though only briefly..)
