i would love to see him in P & G as much as the next guy, but it seems like if grades are the only obstacle holding him back he would've worked that much harder in the classroom if he really wants to be here

I hope we offer and I hope he accepts. From what I saw, I agree with most of you that he was a dominating presence on the D-line. I don't know if the bridge has been burned though.

NO. You must have been watching the wrong game. Or have a strange definition of "planted."

Last I heard it was Bama or Arky...seems a little ticked about no early offer...

I'm hoping Jericho is in his ear...

He would pick LSU over Arky, every day of the week.

Were you at the game? He was even out of the game for several plays and even a few series...

Perhaps the new defensive coaching staff can reel him in. You know, some new faces who go to him and tell him that THEY want him.

Then they would have to wait to offer after he has already signed with Bama. His grades will not be official until after his final semester of high school.

from what i understand they were waiting on cambell and possibly montgomery. I know SM is a DE but not sure how many DLineman they were gonna take. Now i think they are already trying to push DS but it may be too little too late

Yea, and I don't recall seeing him pancaked once, if that is what you are suggesting by planeted. Ruston did a pretty good job of neutralizing him though.

It happened a few times when he tried to come off the edge. #99 was much better off the edge, and the DHS LBers played beautifully as a unit, they helped stop RHS 4 times inside the 20 with no points...impressive. Anyhow, it seemed to me DS would not fit as a DE at LSU, but more likely a DT. He definitely looks the part and reports from others including yourself suggest I just happened to see an off game when trying to evaluate him. As a former player I understand evryone has bad matchups and off games, and I personally am all for keeping state talent at home if it is of benefit.

it wasn't just grades it was also character issues...his coach has now vouched for him. The kid grew up. Fwiw that's why weren't going to get his verbal and place him initially.

I don't think our bridge is completely burned.

grades

I'm tired of hearing the grades excuse

at this point we have wiffed at every other big time DTs we have gone after and we clearly wanted another one in this class

Sentimore makes sense now so if the coaches like him and want him they might as well sign him... if he doesn't qualify then frick it... what does it matter at this point? It keeps him away from Saban building a Destrehan pipeline and wouldn't count against our numbers if he didn't make the grades

I think either Miles doesn't think he is good enough or isn't a fit for us, or this is another ego situation where Miles whiffed on the big boy DTs he wanted to complete the DT class and now is too stubborn to go back on a guy he shunned early ...a guy who wanted to be a Tiger

at this point, why? ...seriously, whats the advantage??

we sign scrubs like Duplessis who cant qualify, we chase guys like Deangelo Benton for 3 years to qualify... why not Sentimore? ...why now Deandre Brown? ...why not Dez Bryant?

Why Les?
