Russell Shepard (Houston/Cypress Ridge) threw his share of bad balls and struggled at times with accuracy, but he surprised with his downfield arm strength. The future LSU Tiger continues to freeze some of the nation's finer defenders in space any time he tucks the ball away. per ESPN

I think Shep will be just fine.

You can teach arm strength guys, cmon now.Any coach will tell you that.Crowton can adjust the way he grips the football,or the arm angle, strength training will help. He's an explosive athlete, the best in the country matter of fact. Our best recruiter,a great leader and has improved his accuracy this year in high school.Be positive

Shep will be the biggest playmaker in LSU history. Doubt that, and you need mental help. I don't care how he throws it at this point in his career. I compare him to the football version of Shaq, at LSU. Shaq was a dominant shot blocker and rebounder his first year. Second year he actually started making a few shots. By his 3rd year, he dominated almost every game he was in. True, he never did learn how to shoot a free throw, but it didn't stop him from winning how many championships? Shepard is the real deal, every coach who watches him says his throwing mechanics are top notch. I heard Jarret Lee had GREAT pre LSU throwing camps. HELLO!

Did LSU ever even make it to a sweet 16 while Shaq was here.

So was he saying that LSU will underachieve while Shep is here and then he will go on to be a superstar in the NFL?

his post is kinda confusing but he said this
quote:

Shep will be the biggest playmaker in LSU history.
so I doubt he means he underachieves. fwiw I don't think Shaq underachieved.

Personally, no. As a team, yes, LSU underachieved while Shaq was here.
