But A+M is behind Texas, OU, Texas Tech, and Oklahoma state in the Big 12 south order of programs. They aren't going to win crap anytime soon.

That's Darryl Surgent, WR for ASH (Alexandria Senior High). He ran a 4.4 in the forty and was a good weapon for ASH. I'm not sure where he might go for college.

Should have used Bama from last year as a better example.

Well I'm not trying to boast or brag, but LSU is leading the race right now for Loston (I'm not sure if it's a big lead or small lead)
Take a look at this article on Craig Loston.
If it doesn't work or shows up, here are some quotes that stood out to me that made me think LSU has the lead for Loston.
quote:
"I've always wanted to play in the SEC," said Loston, a five-star recruit and nation's No. 24 overall rated prospect. "That's the reason why I got LSU in front of everybody right now. A school that's far away doesn't have a chance. If LSU is where I feel is for me then I might end up committing."
"LSU's a great school," Loston said. "They've got a great incoming class. If I feel I want to play with those guys coming in then I'll announce it at the game."
Loston pointed to two other factors that LSU has working in its favor.
"Since I've been going there since my freshman year that's like a coach I've always hung out with," Loston said of Porter. "After practice was over during camp I hung out in his office and talked without anything having to do with recruiting. That's how we got close.

No, I know. I'm just saying that if bad records don't hurt recruiting, then it's even better news for A&M.
But Loston looks like he'll commit to LSU, so all is well.

Do you know the reason why Loston decommitted from A&M in the past? I'm just wondering.

quote:True, but that program must show some promise, like Bama and Notre Dame last year. A+M doesn't have a chance to get to the Bi 12 Championship game anytime soon.

And Loston decommitted because of a coaching change

Because Dennis F. was on his way out, and I think I read about some drama with the coaches at A&M but that may have been a different recruit.
