Texas high schools are mad fricking easy. I had gone there temporarily because of Hurricane Katrina.. I missed my senior year of football with my boys but their education is mad easy. English 4... most work we ever did was crossword puzzles and watch movies.. (graded). Oh yeah, we cheated in class and the teacher was chilling looking at us.

Sounds like one of those "special classes" but would probably be an honors course in LA

Pretty much he's going to a private school in La. I guess it has something to due with the fact that he's having trouble academically right now. He stil needs to bring up his ACT/SAT scores if he wants to get into LSU though. But he doesn't have to take the TAKS test to graduate from HS anymore.

this seems shady as hell, and we would crucify another school for pulling this stunt. i don't like it.

Wowsers.

Hope the kid has a legit (or at least concealable) way to pay for tuition at a private school for one semester.

I'm sure it won't be a problem ;) but I hope he can pass and graduate, starting a few weeks late.

All this seems like a lot of trouble to go through just to not take Texas's TAKS test to graduate (?)

I'm thinking Loston becomes another Deangelo Benton. We may not see him until 2011.

Brighton is a school that benefits kids who suffer from dyslexia. Don't think Loston's that bad off. Just trying to stay away from having to pass the exit exam in Texas.
