This picture has been floating around the web recently. It's a photo of Rueben Randle making the Miami "U" with his hands during his visit there... I hope it's not a foreshadowing of the future!

Andy Staples of SI just posted predictions for the top unsigned players from the economists with their program and from himself (human picks), including RR, here they are:
LINK

quote:

Reuben Randle, WR, Bastrop (La.) Computer pick: LSU, Human pick: Alabama. We may both be wrong. Oklahoma is Randle's third finalist, and Randle has done a good job of keeping his favorites close to the vest.

Michael Phelps is actually a PROFESSIONAL swimmer, because he took personal sponsorship funds (VISA and Speedo, just to name two) when he was 18 and went to the 2004 games. That is why he was never allowed to swim for a college in the NCAAs.

Not that I care whether or not people chant and cheer for Rueben Randle, either. Just wanted to clarify your statement.

I am starting to feel like he will go to bama. I mean everyone is saying that they think he is leaning to lsu, But have no info to back it up. He has said NOTHING! so what makes peaple think he will come here? Cause we are closer??? So. He might WANT to go out of state. He might be tired of peaple telling him LSU LSU LSU LSU LSU LSU you have to got to lsu, if you dont' blablablabla. I just have not seen any concreate evidence that says he will come here.

People will say we have a better qb, but he has only started two games. I happen to think JJ will end up a all american, but maybe i am a hommer.

lastly sabans recruting taktics. His first year here, he went bananas, signing nothing but 4 and 5 star players from all over louisiana and miami etc. He was not seen as the great coach he is now. SO how does he do it????? I really think he presents himself as a total package anything you want kind of guy, he has alot of nfl connections (albeit miles, brick, crowton do as well), and i worry about the boosters he has behind him.

Have you guys seen what bama has left on thier board???? Insane players left to deciede and choose, and i will bet most go to bama at least more then 50%.

In closing, basically i am worried that the lure he sells thease kids is too much for some of them to turn down, even if it's dirty.

Miles is a great recruiter as well, but when it comes to closing time no one closes like saban. He really puts the heat on and gets who he wants.

I hope i am wrong. Randle is a upstanding young man, and miles is just the same and will be here for a long time. If he goes to bama he will be faced with the possibility of his OC or saban not being there next year. Also, we are just as good or better at developing players fot the nfl as bama is.

I hope in the end maybe he is torn so much that he sticks with the comfortable choice and stays home.

RUEBEN STAY HOME A PLAY FOR THE TIGAH'S AND HELP US BECOME THE FIRST DYNASTY OF THE 21ST CENTURY! WE LOVE YOU AND CANT WAIT TO SEE YOU IN TIGER STADIUM

Okay... you may want to step away from the computer for a bit, take a drink or something. I know it's really stressful this weekend, but try and stay positive. I think you sound "battle weary" right here..

I know huh??? typing sometimes is therapudic to me. Like painting or something

I am positive I think the total silence is distubing. Albeit jones was quiet all last year but so was mcknight the year before. I just feel thease kids view saban as something way more then he is. He is just like any other coach. If you have better players you win. Well no frickin shite.

we see how well he does with average players. What was his record his first year at bama?? michigan state??? He only had ONE 10 win season here. SABAN IS ALL HYPE!!!!!! and a ____hole to boot.

don't do it rueben!! you will dying to get out after your junior year!!!!!!

Just because he hasn't said anything outright, doesn't mean he refuses to give subtle signs. Hes hinted a bit in interviews and people in his inner circle seem to think its LSU. Some interviews he seems excited when he talks about LSU, as opposed to other schools. Plus, little things like him hanging out with LSU commits at the AA game. When you put it all together...its LSU, the little hes shown.

I've heard some other little things I can't confirm personally but believe what a poster says on another board...because he apparently is in his inner circle. Plus, Sonny has a good feeling and his gut is usually right when it comes to recruiting. Hes fairly close to the Randle family. But I agree, he has kept it close to the vest, you just got to look at subtle things and put them all together. Why has he visited LSU way more than other schools? Why did they practically let Miles sit in his house from dusk to dawn if they didn't like what they were hearing?

Just a hunch, but I feel Randle will end up at OU. Criteria he is looking for fit. Returning experienced QB and the established WR(s) leaving giving him the chance to start immediately.

*All we can tell is that he wants to go somewhere where he can make an impact right away (he has that opportunity at all of the schools he's intereted in).

*He also has stated that he doesn't want to be the ONLY guy they have to throw the ball to. He doesn't want all of the pressure and expectation on him. (Ya'll can debate which school gives him that best opportunity).

LSU best place right now IMHO. LaFell to be the go to guy, Toliver #2 and Randle can displace the Michells if he's as good as advertised. Benton will get a shot also.

That's how I'm starting to lean. Actually think Lafell comin back helped us with Randle.

RR knows Bradford will only be there 1 more year, he was the first pick if he left this year. That is probably why Bradford didn't leave, he didn't want to play for the Lions.

The guy I've talked to told me about how RR's recruitment has gone and how he was at odds with one LSU coach at the beginning of the process. At one point it was looking like he wasn't going to LSU but he says now, he'd be surprised if he went anywhere else. He said it had something to do with Henson at the beginning, he was weird and the Randle family didn't like him. So they switched to DJ recruiting him and that relationship has been going real well...

Dreaux is at his best when he is "pumping sunshine"! He doesn't have the experience being the pesemist, and it shows.
