I appreciate that information. I won't argue those facts to defend my statement.
It does make me wonder though, whether there was some resentment in this area that Dinardo didn't personally recruit the Monroe area. I do know that Banks, Sale, James, Edwards and Reed were early and strong on LSU, so heck, maybe he didn't have to. Turner was also on track scholarship, I believe.
On the other hand, Saban was here all the time. Maybe by then there were more offers because of the exposure before, and he had to be.
I stand corrected.

I noticed Rob Sale on that '99 roster. Is he now coaching in tuscalooser with the lil' tyrant?

Hijack away. I've been hit on by a gay gumper, proven wrong and been called a bonehead dumbass to boot in the last 48 hours on this board.
He was an athletic intern in the strength and conditioning program there ... whether he is there at this moment I don't know. From what I understand... whether you work or played for Saban... you get no quarter, and he's not either.

I was just shopping in Bob Sale's store over the holidays and one of the people there said that Bob's son was on Sabass's staff, and that Christmas was very limited for him to see their family (couple of hours, at best) and that roster made me think that maybe they were talking about Rob??

Yeah, that's him. As you know from the store, Bob is a huge LSU fan and former player. Rob played at Neville and wouldn't have played anywhere else but LSU.

I heard that Rueben Randle, Trent Richardson, and Russell Shepard were seen yesterday at Raising Cane's. Randle and Richardson are definitely not going to find Cane's in Alabama!

Having known Bob (Rob's father) some years back, Bob did not play college football. He was a big Northeast (ULM) fan until his son Rob started playing ball and was college football material. Let's face it, Northeast has been on the wane since they won the 1-AA title in 1987. Anyway, Bob became more of an LSU fan while Rob was at Neville. Both are good people, but just wanted to set the record straight.
