quote:If Logan is better than Davenport as you say, why is one one of the most highly recruited players in the nation, including the no. 1 player on LSU's board, and the other hardly a blip on the radar? LSU doesn't recruit players based on 'hype' and being that they're in the same district, it's not as if Logan has been simply overlooked.
I really think Red River's Benny Logan is as good maybe better then Chris Davenport. They play in the same district and both won Defensive MVP of the district. Logan is a 2 time all state player, davenport is a 1 time all state player. And NO, i am not saying that just because Logan got All State twice. I have seen both play and if you didnt know either one of the players name or hype, you would pick Logan over Davenport every time.

What are his measureables? Also, being from Red River I would be very concerned that he might have grade problems...Is that the case?

I would agree with this for the most part. Its sad, but true. I believe he has a B average. He hasnt taken the ACT yet.

So with that being said, its not grades that is stopping him.
Dont get me wrong, Davenport is a beast. I just think that Logan is just as good. Granted, Logan is a DE and Davenport is a DT

Is there some video of the kid or some way we can see what you are talking about? I just don't see how a kid that good goes unnoticed unless there is a major flaw.

I have seen these two guys play each other the last 2 years. They are both great players. I am a die hard LSU fan. I know we are stocked on the D-line. I just dont get caught up in the stars or other recruiting sites that claim this guy or that guy is number whatever at there position. All I know is that in both games, Logan dominated.

The game between both Davenport and Logan is going to be played Oct 17 in Coushatta. The game is always awesome to see. The only bad part is that is the same day as the Evangel vs Bastrop game.

He is on several sites. I know yall hate Dandy Don, but he has him listed on there. LSU has made contact with him, as well as Tenn, texas, tcu, baylor, texas a&m

I definitely won't be going there. I film, and besides that Coushatta is kinda a hell hole from what I remember of coaching there 6 years ago. The field was like a mine field of huge ant beds and not well kept at all. A guy from Red River was on a break-away for a TD on a kickoff return and tripped on a huge mound
, it was awesomely sad

I think you may be a tad bit biased in this case.

I am not biased at all. I am from a town the same amount of miles from both Coushatta and Mansfield. I dont know anyone on any of there staff or players. So I am not "for" both players. I just would hate to let a talent like Logan go by the waist side. He will sign somewhere, I just hope and pray its LSU

I found him on Scout. And it said Red River Parish Alternative School...What?
