Some are saying that he is better than terrel pryor. I hope all this hype comes true for russell.

Matt Jones was a less elusive but faster

link? Their 40 times are VERY close. Also, Shepard has worked very hard at throwing the ball, and going by his highlights he wasn't bad to begin with.

well somebody compared him to Terrelle Pryor and Pryor had a 23-3 td/int ratio and around a 60% completion percentage along with rushing numbers better than shep's so whoever made that comparison and said he is ahead of Pryor in terms of being a QB needs to layoff the koolaid
i cant believe i am the first to bring this up. are you really comparing pryor's senior year stats in western fricking Pennsylvania's 1a ball against shepard's junior year stats in texas 5a? really? thats makes a world of sense

Yeah I was gonna say, watching the game they televised last year with Pryor it was hard to even watch, that team they played was horrible, At least Shepard is playing against some kind of competition.

I would think he is not going to be a QB unless he comes in just to run the ball.

As an LSU fan, I must admit that I don't think he'll play QB here either. It's amazing how delusional some LSU fans are regarding Russell Shepherd. I havn't seen him play in person, but after looking at five minute highlight reel, there's little evidence supporting the idea that Shepherd is capable of playing QB in the SEC. I think he will make a great WR. His arm just doesn't look good enough. I could be wrong though. We'll see how he does his senior year.
