Then there's me:
I'm proud of the kid for overcoming some character issues and grades and giving himself a chance to play where he really has wanted to all along. He did have the grades and personal issues but yeah, sounds like he's been workin his arse off. So I'm not high fiving other posters, I'm high fiving Sentimore.

I think most LSU fans have not been concerned with DS b/c of his grades. Now that he may qualify, he has our attention.

If you are saying that anonymous internet message board posters say lots of silly things about kids they don't know during the recruiting process, you are correct. Cut through the fringe element on this site and I think what you saw were people who would have gladly taken Sentimore but had heard that he was not going to qualify academically and that this was the reason LSU had not offered him. Not because he wasn't any good or because he's a bad kid but because he had not put the work in. If the new rumor is true (that he's worked hard and will now qualify), then it's unsurprising that LSU fans would welcome a Louisiana kid who is one of the top 15 DT prospects in the nation and who clearly pushed himself this hard precisely so he could go to the school that he has always wanted to go to his whole life. Indeed, while some may have said heartless things, most did not and most were of the view that it was a shame things couldn't work out. And now, many will congratulate the kid for perservering.
At any rate, I would not be on the high horse because your school tried to take advantage of the situation and offered him on the hopes that he qualified. That's nice but it shouldn't earn you any loyalty points. All it means is that your coach felt less solid about his class than our coach did and he was willing to risk a non-qualifier if it meant "stealing" a kid from Louisiana.

Listen up....and I will lay it out for you, TideSiant.
DS had big time grade issues....he has since gotten it up pretty darn close.
DS had some character issues...he has been on the straight and narrow since and his coach personally called to vouch for him.
LSU is now interested...it may be too late; it may not. FWIW, the coaches have been telling him this from the beginning...LSU would have offered had these issues not been in play at first.
And I agree with Cadello...your posts blow...
My guess is Sentimore comes to LSU and is joined by his little brother on the D-line in the future.
