Yes you should be. That staff the gets paid millions to study and evaluate players knows nothing and should get up every morning and offer players by how flashy their rivals page looks.

Exactly - it can happen. Kids can develop very quickly at that age.

Don't let these homers ridicule you for wondering about Collins. The fact is not a single one of them has seen him play and they are only giving you shite based off of "reported" numbers.
The truth is camp offers to seemingly unknown prospects is always something that can be questioned. Look I'm hoping he is the stud he seems to be but he did camp at other schools without becoming the 8th World Wonder that he has been turned into on this board so who knows?
Not saying I have an opinion on him either way because I haven't seen him play, but there's just as much chance he turns into a Claiborne/Mathieu type camp stud as there is a Hagans/Blackmon type guy.

dude every signee cant be a future starter or stud..some have to add depth, thats why its called a football TEAM. people on this board get to caught up in star rankings, instead of team needs..

Which is fine because.........If he turns out to be of the Claiborne/Mathieu type, he will make it to campus. If he is determined to be closer to the Hagans/Blackmon type, he will likely not make it to campus.
So "No", I wouldn't be worried, I would just hope for the best for the Tigers and the young man.

Be more concerned when we take linemen scrubs because they shook Miles' hand in an awesome way at a weekend camp.

Don't think we're going to have to worry about any linemen scrubs this year Max. Both O-line and D-line will be the strengths of this class.

this guy LINK
wasn't even recruited by a school(right across the river from him), with a top notch DB coach for a HC and he turned out alright
maybe you've heard of him

OL and DBs tend to be the most underevaluated and missed group by recruiting services, go check out the draft over time and you'll see this to be true. LBers are not far behind those 2 units. Those 3 area I put almost no thought to what recruiting services say and tend to put a lot more into what coaches think

yes memphis.....
Who's that guy that's coaching at Memphis? Think he could have been recruiting him here then thought he had a chance of stealing him?

i can definitely see that. sometimes those are really tough to gauge b/c of the style of play of teams and their positions.

But for every Mo Claiborne, Tyrann Mathieu, and Jacob Hester. . . .there is a Rocky Duplessis, Houston Bates, etc.

And that might be true, if Houston Bates had signed with LSU instead of Illinois.

Why are you hating on State and Memphis? If you look at both of their classes they are shaping up to be those schools best they have had in years. Larry Porter will bring Memphis back and Coach Mullen will make people not wanna think state is an easy win anymore. If anything a Memphis or Miss St offer is more appealing to me than a Tennessee or a Texas A&M offer right now.

yeah we avoided that bomb but who knows if we didn't scare Mickey Johnson away in the process
Same for some Bama kid in the future after the Blackmon frickup. I only wish we could've yanked Cam Fordham's legacy scholly somehow also.

Yea I'm intrigued with this guy but some are acting like he's already taken over PP's spot.

UtahTiger, you should not be concerned. With 10 more pounds of muscle, he would be about 6' 3" 190 running a 4.4 and quickness of a 3.9 shuttle, and some doggone spider-monkey arms. I think he will blow up this year and you will see some more colleges get on to him.
