answer thsi for me. If you went to TB high school game and you saw him afterwords and he was waiting on someone. Would you go say something to him.
If I didn't know the kid, I would not. If I knew him, I'd probably tell him good game and that's it.
quote:NO.
would you ask him about LSU?
quote:Again, No. Why the hell does this kid care what I think?
Would you say great game kid we would love to have you in BR next fall?
I'll add this... My little brother was a decent recruit out of college, had schollie offers from Ok St., Louisville, Miss St, and a few others. I got to see a good bit of what these kids go through. The general public are freaking looney toons. People who have never met my brother thought they needed to give him their two cents. He was too nice of a guy to say anything but it always irittated him. I agree aba is in a different boat, but some of the Auburn shite is creepy. I'm sure LSU fan's do it too, I just don't see as much of it on a pro LSU site.

Same reason why you would say that to RR or RS if you saw them. They arent much older. Or the same reason you would say that Kieland Williams he isnt that much more older as well. Maybe 5 or 6 years. This is sports dude. I will tell a Middle schooler good game if he balled out of control.
The same way as I would approach a singer or a painter and tell them thank you for there body of work.
I met Pharrell here in Dallas recently and he talked just liek a normal person. I am sure he didnt give 2 squirts of my opinion but he knows I am a consumer and he respects that i listen to him.
I have had a close friend of mine get recruited as well. Lived right around the block. Grew up with him and I saw the process as well. he was just a 3 star but you would be surpised at the attention we got when he went to certain schools. He really apprecaited the attention.
these kids work hard and lay there bodies out for the game. You as a fan will not creep them out.
Sending them locks of hair or giving them hugs is differenc. But shaking there hands is different.

What are you talking about? What does age have to do with it? You asked questions; I answered them. The part you quoted was in response to the question whether or not I would walk up to a kid I didn't know and start telling him why I think he needs to be in B.R. And I explained that I had a brother go through the process and he hated it. I personally viewed how uncomfortable it was for him. I'm not talking about the random person telling him good game. I'm talking about the people that need to sit there and tell him THEIR reasons on why a certain college needed him or THEIR reasons why a certain college was better. Most kids don't give a shite why some random thinks one college is better then another.
quote:How does a recruit remotely resemble a singer or painter? A singer or painter needs customers and a smart one should take time to chat up their fans because he doesn't make a living unless someone purchases their product. A recruit isn't trying to sell you anything. I'm not saying they don't appreciate being told good game or getting the occasional handshake. I'm talking about random people who think their opinions about what school a recruit should attend matter to said recruit.
The same way as I would approach a singer or a painter and tell them thank you for there body of work.

Couldn't be farther from the truth. Many fans creep recruits out.

When is the last time you gave something to the board that is useful.......... I am still waiting. Oh wait that is right you haven't. By the way most of the guys that I talk to I have either played against in a game or a 7 on 7 or I have been at combines where I do drills with them and such. So I think I speak for most when I say STFU and stop saying things about stuff you have no idea over.
no, you def are. he now thinks he's an insider bc of folks like you that eat his fb updates up and will continue to do it

Bridgewater would be perfect to finish up at QB. We woud have the immediate starter in Mettenberger, the very talented freshman in Bridgewater (Who could contribute at WR in meantime) and then the project freshman with a high ceiling in Rivers.

Secondly, Dak had quite an impressive senior year, is much bigger, and has a lot of room for improvement.
Your first post was right.
Just because someone on here thinks they know everything about recruiting and makes fun of you doesnt mean anything besides they are a jackass with all the answers (maybe mostly wrong ones)
Posted on 12/14/10 at 2:32 pm to Cadello
He's going to be a good QB, but I wonder how much of it was that we REALLY wanted him or if we were trying to keep him away from MSU?
Posted on 12/14/10 at 2:35 pm to Cadello
They went after Dak first because he's a louisiana kid. Les always recruits the state first then out of state. if they are close, he's going with the in state guy.

Well, I personally don't get bothered by him much.

i will buy that. I think that is the way it should be. T.K Fleming and Floyd Raven are takes if we can manufacture the schollies. I hate it when we fill up and other states get our kids. Nelson, Byrd, Lacy i just wish we could find room for them all.
just shows you how talent rich the state of LA is.
