I think we get one surprise catch in this class(one of the not talked about everyday recruits) and of the mentioned i'd take Lynn. He's shutdown material and if it's true what im hearing about him and OU.. you never know

Lots of big names still out there. It should be interesting to see what develops with Jenkins. At this point there is mostly interest from parents, but I think they will persuade him to look harder at LSU. What happens im sure we will find out. But I like what we can offer him. I think our LB situation is favorable for him. We have a potential All-American at MLB (Beckwith). (similar to how the Dorsey, Jackson, RJ Francois thing will pay off big time with McFarland.) We have some what won the parents over. Plus all the other wonderful things LSU can offer.

So as of now its a longshot but that could change over time.

the Hester role

Is he up to that task ... top ball carrier? I thought he was supposed to be the future Quinn J. blocking machine.

He would be up to a Hester like role. But will not sign if he thinks he will be used more like a FB. With the fellas we already have and those left of the board at RB. I doubt we convince him to come here. He knows he probly wont be able to compete with our talent as a pure RB, which is why he is hesitant to sign. Im sure he doubts we wont try to use him more like a FB. And he just wants playing time as a college RB wherever he goes. I cant blame the kid. Though I think he would help the team as a hybrid FB I doubt thats the job he's really looking for.

Same problem we had with Operum. The big time program is appealing but not more than playing time.
