Just in case that's not sarcasm, Richard Dickson is a tight end. And he is a big component of our offense.

yea talent wise, but he isnt utilized as much as he should be and you know it.

I guess I don't know it. It may have something to do with very talented wide receivers that we have. I would much rather see Lafell, Tolliver, or Byrd in the open field than Dickson. Even though Byrd had some hands issues last year, he was very good after the catch. I think Dickson is used just enough.

that's less than 2 1/2 catches a game for the league's most talented TE along with aaron hernandez

he could be a feature player in another offense

That's with a QB who didn't know there were multiple receivers on the field.

but he only caught one more pass the year before with a better team/qb

lsu just doesnt utilize the te like they should. i dont blame them, its just how it is

If you're going to flame the board, don't make it so obvious.

He wouldn't be a better player, the only possible difference would be that he could get, possibly, a few more touches a game. He's already one of, if not the, best TE in the SEC. Also, he'll likely have an increase in touches next year with a new QB.

i disagree

he could be a feature player in the middle of the road sec schools

he wouldnt be as successful maybe but his numbers would go up. hes the 2nd best TE behind hernandez at fla, but he will still only catch in the 30s next year bc of our wrs.

Wow, "only" catch in the thirties is equal to not using the t.e.

Two touchdown passes in the n.c. game. Has caught over thirty balls in his soph and Jr seasons. That's just the catches, not the attempts, drops, ect. He's the third leading receiver on the team. Yet we don't use the t.e. enough.

Show me a great team where their t.e. is the most featured receiver. If your most featured receiver is a t.e., your not very good.

R.D. is a very good t.e., the l.s.u. offense is at it's best when the ball is spread around. I'll take what our coaches are doing offensively. he's used smartly and adequately.

Now we have to complain about our t.e's not catching 50 balls a year. Don't run scott, williams, or holliday. don't pass to lafel, byrd, tolliver, throw the ball to the t.e.!!!! Great recipe for winning right there.

That doesn't make an ounce of fricking sense.

There is no such thing as a "lock" right now. Not horribly worried about TE, its one position that people can be "converted" to if needed and the aptitude fits. Jacobs probably needs work as a reciever if he does commit anyway.
