Texas wanted A&M to go to the Pac12 with them. We said we were going to the SEC instead. So we both decided to keep the Big XII in tact. Proof in point the Big XII guaranteed A&M, Texas, and 0U $20mil/yr so we wouldn't leave for other conferences.
This year Texas wanted HS games and a conference game on the LHN. We said no and pulled our SEC trump card again. They again backed down.
I'm just hoping we eventually pull that SEC card use it. Hopefully it's this November/December
