Josh Reeds amazing end zone catch. At the time I thought it was the best catch of all time.

2000: 50% completion rate, 17 touchdowns, 15 interceptions.
1999: 48.6 % completion rate, 7 touchdowns, 19 interceptions was benched against Arkansas (LSU’s only SEC win) in which Rohan came in and threw for over 200 yards and 3 touchdowns with an interim HC. But yes, lets continue shouting the praises of Josh Booty like we all didn’t know Rohan was a much better quarterback.

ok so?? he was better than jd5/etling/ or JJ as an actual downfield passer. forget stats and watch games. he had good games and bad like many.

shite team and shite season with shite coaches. forced alot of throws. not much to work with other than jerel myers. rohan looked like crap against auburn and was pulled in 1999. and yes i was at that 1999 game where rohan started against arky after that putrid season.

i agree rohan was better. absolutely. both had talent. both could throw downfield.

Gunslinger the fans loved, but couldn't manage to at least break even on TD/INT ratio.
Sound familiar?

Booty was terrible to anyone with football sense. I recall he had like 7 or 8 INT in 2 games.
Not sure what Saban saw to keep trotting him out there.

One of the things that stood out to me about this game, is you can tell LSU’s recruiting landscape has changed.

Of the 22 starters in this game, only 3 were from out of state.

Muskingum Barnes from Moss Point, Ms
Jerel Myers from Houston
Louis Williams from Florida.

Vastly different from how it is today.

My bad. Got Henderson confused with John Henderson from Tennessee

I just watched the game for the first time. So many wonderful came back. LSU fans were different back then. We were hungry to win. The stadium was packed to watch a 7-4 LSU team. That game and that team started LSU run, IMO.
