The reactions to Prom's original post are the very reason that most fans were so doom and gloom during this season. UNREALISTIC AND UNINFORMED EXPECTATIONS.
Having some proper perspective and actually knowing what your team is capable of doing and not doing doesn't make you a "debbie downer" or a "wet blanket".
Lack of perspective assertions of unquestioned athletic superiority leads to fans booing their own young players, calling for coaches to be fired, and generally making an arse of yourself and sounding like an idiot when reality hits.
LSU has a real chance to turn things around in 09 with a new defensive philosophy, an exciting young QB, and new leaders who look to be ready to step up to fill the void of those that left in 07.
But pretending like everything is gravy and that anything less than 10-2 and a West championship and contending for an NC would be a huge disappointment is just stupid.
