Go to uptown NOLA and go to either Bruno's on Maple St or Cooters on S carrollton. Two good NOLA sports bars
I strongly second anyone of these two. They are both right off of St. Charles uptown. Catch a sreet car down and see some other parts of the city besides the quarter.
Cooters has a great beer selection and some pretty good grub for a bar.
+1
Fat Harry's would be good too. You could take the street car from downtown get off right in front, 2nd choice would defiantly be Cooter Browns, also on the street car line.

According to an Alabama fan here yesterday, tickets were easy to get and Alabama would have 25,000 people in Tiger Stadium like they apparently did in Knoxville. You may need to find his thread and try to contact him. He may be able to get you a ticket.
