Do yahll think McNeese will beat UNC or not? Just curious...

McNeese lost a ton on defense and weren't great on that side of the ball to begin with. They may hang for a half but the Heels will open it up and pull away in the 2nd. 35-13 Carolina.

I went to the game when McNeese played Texas A&M in 2000. McNeese was winning until about the middle of the 4th qtr., they just weren't as strong. It was a good game though, all the Aggie fans were cursing us the whole game.

I appreciate your posts but besides JMU we kicked everyone elses best shot in the playoffs for three years straight.

I disagree with that assessment. In the 2005 seminfinals Furman had the ball leading 23-21 third and goal at the App State 2. Ingle Martin ran the ball to the left and was going to walk untouched into the endzone. I'm not absolutely sure but I don't even think an App State defender was on the TV screen with him. Easy touchdown. But he inexplicably slipped and fell down at the one. And I'm not talking about a situation in which he was running hard. He was so clear he was just kind of trotting and just fell down. Total gift from above for App. Furman went for it on 4th down and didn't make it.

Thus staying within one score, App scored with 2:17 left in the game then converted on a two point conversion to win 29-23. Furman had 509 yards of offense in the game. App did well on offense too, totally 436 yards. But did the Mountaineers "kick" Furman in that game? No way. They were EXTREMELY fortunate to win and that "fall down" by Ingle Martin...which App had nothing to do with...was huge.

The next week App scored the winning TD in the championship game on a scoop and score. Yes, their pass rush was a factor in creating the fumble. But it was another game that could've gone either way.

The margin between Appalachian State having three national championships in a row and winning one is very thin. Being very good has been a huge factor in their achievement of an unprecedented 3 straight national titles. But being lucky has been a factor too.
