If you read & comprehend what Coach Aranda was saying bout Coach O, you'd get past your hate & understand he was not just blowing smoke up his boss' arse. He went above & beyond in complimenting him. Good Lord, this hate is getting very old.
I agree the compliment was gratuitously made. Of course, the critics would need to read and comprehend the article to know that.

Plenty of great OC and DC out there.
It's like they grow on trees.

Coordinators job is to coordinate. Didn't everyone complain about Les interfering. Plenty of great OC and DC out there.
No, Miles was considered a buffoon and a poor head coach with respect to philosophy and game day strategic decision making. His unwavering and continuous dedication to picking rock in the rock, paper, scissor game caused him to get his butt fired many years after he should have.
I will state it again, great head coaches are just that...great coaches of players and staff.

only by dopes on here pushing an agenda. if coaches thought miles was dumb why did he keep gettjng great coordinators? great coordinators dont wamt to work for a dumb coach
Im still waiting to hear how a dumbass coach can have the 7th best win % in sec history during the most dominant era of sec football ever. Had it not been for saban at bama, lsu wins the 2012 sec west along with the 2011 national title. Literally the only thing stopping miles was the best coach of our generation. While it was time for miles to go he was still a very successful coach here and a bad coach wouldnt have been able to turn around oklahome state and have the beat tenure in lsu history.

You do realize guys like Frank Wilson and Chavis said Miles was the best coach they ever worked for.

They better get a recruiting mind...Lost 2 LBs in the town they work in and the great O was the recruiting Coordinator for a year....

That says a lot.
All it says is there was no DC position he could get that would pay him more.
It's a shame we have to reach to this extent to find ways to support the hire of O.

I think Coach O learned a lot of hard lessons from his stint at Ole Piss. Hopefully that translates into a lot more wins.

You and i know that anything that remotely paints miles in a positive light is dismissed. These people really believe that everyone saw miles as forrest gump.
But i would reply like you do.
My reply would be ," yeah an economics degree from Michigan just screams ignorant".

He was too hard headed to change and had to go. i.e. Mack Brown.

Well, he made the most from LSU's economical coaching search making Miles the luckiest human on the planet when Saban left LSU in a lurch. Les slid his grass eating arse into Baton Rouge with a completely full cupboard of championship talent in which he had to back into in 2007. His household economics were enhanced amazingly after that set of fortunate events.
He was also incredibly economical with game day coaching tactics leaving LSU consistently fighting their asses off in the 4th quarter against inferior teams/talent that should have put away just after they left their team bus.
His economical approach to making any changes in 2016 were so nonexistent that it made everyone wish that he had been fired in 2008 instead of 2015.
You are right...he has done amazing things with his economics degree from Michigan. They should do a case study in the school of economics up there on how such a idiot could consistently butcher the english language and still talk LSU into making him one of the highest paid coaches in college.

2 million reasons to stay. Until he gets a HC offer.

Maybe O isn't just a dumb coon arse that people make him out to be. Aranda says he respects his football mind.
I think Aranda is just towing the company line. I will say this though. If you have been a football coach for over 30 years and you can't grasp the concepts of X's and O's strategy, then you are a fricking retard.
It's not rocket science, it's football. I can't imagine being a paid professional in a sport and not having any idea about how to be good at the aspects of it.

So you wanted to fire him when lsu had finished in the top 5 3 out of 4 years? If that isnt good enough for you, then no coach ever will be good enough.
