tweaking, but not firing IMO. I bet some position coaches get fired, however

Earl Lane is the only other defensive assistant. Are they gonna fire the TEs coach to improve the defense?

Miles knows he needs a dc and will get one when he finds the one all yall like. Seriously though, I am sure Coach will be and has been searching for a quality guy that he can bring in.

As far as if these two coaches are off the hot seat? In my estimation they are. One thing I notice about rantards is they NEVER give credit to the opposition. We were bad, we can't play defense, the scheme is no good and on and on.

Florida, Georgia, and Bama are all good teams, and yet they get no credit for beating us. It is always what we did not do or did. Man up.

We'll play a big 12 team who uses the spread and get our asses handed to us, and they will be gone

LSU has not covered a back out of the backfield all season long and that isn't the player's fault that is a fundamental error in coaching and philosophy.

I would run wheel routes with my TB all game long against LSU until they figured out an adjustment. Against Bama they never did adjust and Coffee was wide open seemingly every time he left the backfield

Exactly. I've seen enough of this nonsense. Mallveto needs to go. The defense looked better against Bama because of EMOTION, not from any major defensive adjustments. I don't care how they look the rest of the year, we need a competent defensive coordinator next year. But I'll bet the stubborness of Les Miles will prevent him from making ANY staff changes, that includes some of the weak links in the position coaches. WR coach can't coach his way out of a wet paper bag and needs to go. Too much talent there to see the weekly multiple drops....

We WILL have a new DC next year and it is not someone on the current staff. And yes their will be some coaches let go after the season. One I know of, (not one of our current DC's),but they will be reassigned. Told to me by a current LSU coach.

If Bad Cat were AD..LSU would still be lead by Dinardo, Brady, & Laval..

LSU Sports would be on par with day-trading!

I think the way their position coaching responsibilities have resulted in falling production (for example Peveto's LBers have gotten worse as the season has gone on)

That's my main concern. It's pushing things very much to ask someone to be a DC and position coach - even in the NFL where they have virtually unlimited practice time. It has to be having an effect, and we need to hire position coaches to replace them and/or augment them if they stay on as "Co-DCs".

The co-DC's need to be replaced. Granted our defense did ok last Saturday, nothing dominant but OK.

But just because they make a birdie on one hole doesn't mean they're ready for the PGA. They've basically doubled and tripled bogeyed every other hole.
