Good for Lee!! He would make a great NFL back up.

I'm pretty sure he'll do better than A LOT of NFL back ups. I hope we pick him up.

We can only hope that the NFL, Canadian League, etc saw enough of J Lee during his LSU tenure to warrant tryouts at various camps. He did possess enough skills out of HIgh School to receive an LSU scholarship..............

With little experience as a starting quarterback and a system not favorable to quarterbacks, Jarrett Lee may only get an invitation to an NFL camp and compete for a backup job. If he can find a team to ride the bench and develop, Jarrett Lee could be the next Matt Flynn.
Wouldn't that be something? Good Luck JL...I'll be rooting for you.

Hope the packers take a chance on him. I bet someone goes after Flynn this offseason and they can do the same with Lee.

If he gets on an NFL team and JJ doesn't, he'll be at least the third person on LSU's roster under Miles' tenure to be in the NFL while the starter over them did not.

Who?

The big ones I can think of, in terms of Rant complaints:

Hester over Keiland/Scott

Hester has been a solid pro. Keiland is bouncing around teams and Scott's career is over.

Flynn/Russell

This thing started only because LSU won a title with Flynn, despite having the same team record and Russell being a superior college player. But this doesn't seem to fit your argument, because both made NFL rosters...

I'm not sure who I'm forgetting...

Scott over Keiland and Jamarcus over Flynn I guess.

JL will more likely make it to the NFL than JJ ever will.

Keiland over Scott

Only time Keiland started over Scott was when Scott was a freshman, Hester started in front of both in '07.

JR was the #1 pick in the draft and Flynn started for a year.

Just to get a clearer perspective of what's being reported about J Lee, here is an article by a Sr. Analyst at NFLDraftScout.com entitled, Collegiate Bowl Practice - LSU's Lee Disappoints...". This paints a different picture of Lee's potential and gives some support to CLM's decisions regarding him. This is not posted to harm Lee, but rather to present the full picture of his possibilities.

Now that he is playing his natural position

I liked Hester but was somewhat curious why Williams didn't get more touches

I think a pretty accurate analogy would be that

Hester/Williams
Ware/Ford

Although the Ware suspension seemed to cost him some playing time down the stretch
