i understand their concern, but downtown Gainesville is usually full of guys willing to make sure underage, drunk girls get home safe and sound.

If you go to the Swamp then get there early if you want a seat... like 20-30 mins before Gameday starts.

I've never had a problem with the city boys, the county however seems to have it out for me. I don't think they like orange county folks.

how much do you plan on spending on tix??? I got a steal on 4 tix from TAF in Atlanta for $400...stay away from the democrats around the stadium, and you might get them for around $80/ticket right before gametime

Also, I should let you know that the Purple Porpoise no longer exists. In its place is Gator City, which would be another good choice for a tiger fan visiting Gainesville. Cheap Drinks and LOTS of TVs. It's right across from the Stadium, so get there early.
Like other posters said, Swamp, Salty Dog, and The copper Monkey are all good choices. Avoid Balls. The name should be your first tip off.
