To call the Reveille a source of journalism is an insult to journalism. I don't even consider it a reputable source anymore, and its quality has declined greatly in the past 5 years. This has lawsuit written all over it.

This info is not correct. I would expect that the Athletic Department will release something to deny this. Although I think most of them are in Atlanta for already.

I'm not sure how this type of situation is handled but the reporter is sure to face some type of heat from LSU. Don't know if the source will have to be revealed but there is a major factual problem with the story. The violation involved an improper benefit but did not involve a cash payment. I believe there is a big difference according to the NCAA.
