My god how does Miles get credit for Crowton's calls?

Well, he is the head coach. I'm pretty sure he has some say in whether or not LSU is passing or running to set up a field goal with a minute left in the game. But what do I know?

Wow, definitely turned it off before that play. I felt like crap last night(allergies) so I went to bed. Was definitely pulling for you guys but I just couldn't stay up any longer.

Hate I missed the excitement. I probably would have been yelling like crazy too.

Last year Gary called the pass to win the game. Miles basically has veto power.

i think one of the biggest catches of the game is what most people are overlooking...when Jojo Lafell caught the ball way over his head when everybody thought the ball was overthrown!

I thought it was a pick 6 ..It definately wasnt the logical call but it worked. Had Aubum picked it off and scored we would have a million "Kill the QB" threads now.

I know what you're saying, but head coaches get credit/take blame all the time for the calls of their OCs because they have final sign-off, not only on the calls, but the gameplan. You seem surprised by this. Are you suggesting Miles should get less credit for the calls than other head coaches?

I hate trusting a FG for a win, esp. when your QB is on fire. I would have been disappointed had Miles just called runs at the end there (unless of course Scott busted one all the way into the endzone for the Tigers!!!!). My first thought when Lee dropped back on first to pass was wow! great call! trust for Lee! Lee is the man! Lafell! Lafell what a run after the catch! TD!

I think the first TD Lee throw was the turning point for him. He took a monster hit from the blind side and just got right up and all of a sudden he looked like a new QB out there. Kind of like he realized he could take a hit. I don't know if I'm right, but I'll take the results. I would also think the fact that he knew Hatch wasn't coming back in gave him a little more confidence in knowing he wouldn't be pulled for a mistake. I don't care either way as long as it sticks with him for the rest of the season. Aub has some of the hardest hitting SOB's in the country and he survived. Sounds good to me.

Leaving time on the clock with just a 2 point lead maybe would have cost us the game.
Les "the nuts" Miles was planning to simply win I guess. And I believe Crowton had an explanation for that pass in one of his interviews.

Just like last year, I don't think that he wanted afield goal to win it. He wanted to take one good shot instead of setting up a 40 yard field goal. It worked 2 years ina row.
