JL was an Elite 11 QB and was taught by his Dad a HS coach...

The kid can toss the football, he was taught the premium of accuracy. Remember his hype video?

JL's situation sort of reminds me of the new kid that gets thrown in a Basketball game for 1 minute and then gets pulled for a mistake.. He can never find that zone all season and the coach keeps pulling him, he never is comfortable on the court never really in the flow of the game..never quite working up a good sweat of confidence. Confidence only comes from making a few shots and the coach letting him stay a little longer...and then, the young kid remembers how he dominated HS...He finds himself again..a star is born..Potential kicks in to reality.

Now that JL knows the offense...he is primed for success IMHO.

Let him break a good sweat and see what happens

never have.. the kid has big brass balls, the coaches, on the other hand ?????

people forget, in order to push their own agenda, i.e. JJ, that
a)Lee was sorta thrown into this because of Perrilloux leaving
b)a couple of the pick 6s may have been stopped if the D had reacted to the interception instead of throwing their hands up in the air.
c) coaching had him doing all of the things he could not do, instead of the things he could.
He has always had a great touch deep and to the outside, yet we forced him to throw up the middle.

He is not a great QB, but not as bad as some painted him for selfish reasons.

He has guts, I would have told LSU to shove it.
Even last year, we put him in when we were backed up at the 5 yd line against LA Tech...and he and Riddley ..brought us points.

Jefferson completed a swing pass that game and that's it.

1/6 5 yards.

I would rather go 3&out, punt and play defense than watch one of Miss State defensive players streaking down the sideline on his route to a pick 6

I didn't boo him, but I cussed a blue streak directed at Miles to bunch his arse.

I didn't boo him but I did think he needed to be benched, and wasn't sorry when he was.

Lots can happen between then and now, and JL may be ready for prime time, or not. Unless he gets his shot, how will anybody know?

What we do know is JJ is struggling and could benefit from time on the bench -- not as a punishment, but maybe as a time to learn and improve. There's always next year.

Live2ctigers............

first big problem: honest

young man,
you are expecting ranterds to be honest. please, imho you are too naive. the ranterds are speaking out on the board because they are naturally dishonest.
who, BUT, ranturds would boo at the game?
you didn't and i didn't (i cried at the inhumanity of louisiana terds booing an 18yr old kid.)
no negatiger, negamiles or negalsu has positive principles and they are sociopathic and last on the list of priciples is HONESTY.

but, good post.

I never booed him. I don't boo the players anyway, but even if I did, I wouldn't have booed him. Most of what happened to him on the field was not his fault. It was ridiculous how bad our defense was, and a freshman having to press hard to make plays every week because his defense can't keep him in the game just isn't going to have a good time in the SEC. Still, even with all that, he did a good job on multiple occasions of driving us downfield for a crucial score. The winning drive at Auburn, the late tying drive against Alabama, the back-to-back drives against Florida to pull us within 20-14 when the defense had allowed them to jump to a 20-0 lead in the first 20 minutes of the game, all were examples of his ability. He, like every other QB in the Miles/Crowton era, just wasn't brought along properly and developed. It's a shame they wasted his talent like that.

Never booed. But I was speechless at the continued pick-6's. Even against Tulane.

Anybody that Boo'ed JL in 2008 deserved a thorough arse whipping. Crowton definitely deserved to hear something though, after continuing to call passes to the middle of the field when it was obvious that the inexperienced RS-Freshman couldn't see the field/read defenses. He kept calling "Risky" passes though. Blame a lot of that on GC.

BTW, I don't think I've ever boo'ed in Tiger Stadium in the some 45 years I've been going to games. Well, maybe a few during the last year of Hallman and DiNardo, but that was just totally frustrating and unavoidable sitting there watching that shite......

How the hell do we know if he's great or gonna be great if he doesnt play ?? we can't say he's better are worst then JJ b/c he has play yet this year. I honestly want him to suceed i want him to lead the tigers but it will not happen unless JJ gets Skull trucked by the Defense. As fans we will have to suck it up and support who ever is behind center .!
