Pete Jenkins would be the worst assistant coach ever at LSU.

Immediately came to my mind too. But I sure was fond on Carl Reese and Morris Watts too. Chief is the winner. Pelini ranks up there too.

The man has produced first round picks every year he was here. How can you argue against that?

Reason for opinion? Because guys like Leonard Marshall, Henry "Too Tuff" Thomas, Roland Barbay, Tommy Clapp, Jerome Brown (coached him when Pete was at Philly)would probably have a differing opinion. By the way, Pete was also a top notch recruiter. Had a pretty good grasp on the New Orleans and Bayou parishes back in the day.

I'm pretty fond of that Native American guy we've got on the sidelines right now.

I'm not sure I've ever seen a guy provide a more quietly confident set of consistent asswhippings as JC.

Think about it. He doesn't "Muschamp it all up", acting a fool on the sidlines. You rarely hear him speak to the media. He's never mentioned for head coaching positions. He just seems to be very satified in developing awesome defenses, making his 1.1 or whatever he makes, taking it back to his wigwam, then, start the process over next year.

Freakin love that guy, and the way he does his job. When we first got him, I thought "Tennessee re-tread"..."Past his time"....

I couldn't have been wronger.

FIFY

And I was also dead wrong about Chavis. Looking back, he sent some studs to the NFL over his career on Rocky Top.
