won't be a popular opinion but Josh Booty should be mentioned as well as...
Ben McDonald

Mike Miley is the best athlete to ever attend LSU. Starting QB on the football team who earned the nickname "Miracle Mike". In 1974 he was a first round draft choice in baseball and playing in the Majors by 1975.
IMHO he's head and shoulders better than anyone else mentioned.

Had to log in just to downvote
Had to log in just to confirm you have no idea what you are talking about. One of the greatest athletes of all time, a guy named Michael Jordan, couldn't hit a baseball.
A great athlete on a baseball field will trump great athletes in most other sports. The skill set it takes to play such a difficult game is off the charts.

bullshite.
You can be a fat arse and be one of the best players in baseball. Top athletes in basketball and football are better athletes than baseball players.

You sir or mam have reading comprehension problems. You can be a fat arse in any sport and be a great player.
Let me type this real slow for you: A GREAT ATHLETE on a baseball field will trump GREAT ATHLETES in most other sports. The skill set to succeed in baseball or softball is much more difficult than basketball or football. How do we know this? Failure vs success rates in each sport.
I didn't say a fat arse in baseball is better than a fat arse in football.

Cannon would be a candidate for the Heisman today. Strength and blazing speed. As could Pete.

Completely agree. Mike was a multiple sport phenom who was starting for the Angles less than a year after he was drafted in the first round.
LSU was never out of a football game with him on the field.

Yep. It's almost inhuman how these guys identify the type of pitch and it's location in a fraction of a second and make the decision to swing or hold back.
Hitting a baseball at the the major league level may be the most difficult thing to do in all of sports.
