From what I can see, Hatch is very telegraphic and that concerns me. Lee did not "outshine" him the way so many would lead you to think. Both have a long way to go. I'd rather have the MR/JR problem on THIS team because thie offense is so much more potent than the '04 one. '04 had just lost Clayton, Henderson, Peterman, R. Reed, E. Edwards, and Skyler Green was hampered with injuries. As good as Bowe and Davis were about to become, they had little previous production (zero TDs) as opposed to LaFell and Byrd. MR/JR could manage on this team. Hatch and Lee in
'04? we'd be 6 win team or worse.

I thought we did a great job on d. And it was great to see guys swarming the ball and BLITZING AGAIN!!!! I'm SO GLAD Pelini is gone!!!! We would blitz maybe once a game.
And all you guys that are so mesmorized and infatuated with fast/quick/athletic quarterbacks saw just exactly how easy it is to defense them. You blitz like hell and make them have to "Think fast and make quick decisions." Game over.
QB's like Armanti Edwards don't have a chance when they face intense pressure. Ya think the Defenses and Defensive Coordinators of the S.E.C. don't know how to put the clamps on athletic quarterbacks. That's why I get a lot of amusement from all those that are salivating over the thought of seeing an "Athletic" quarterback playing for LSU. Maybe in special situations as a change of pace, but NOT as a full time starter running a complicated offense like Crowtons. Give me the "Game Manager QB's" any day of the week. You can save the "Athletic QB's" for a few special plays.........

Edwards didn't really fold under our pressure though. I was pretty impressed with the guy, for all the shots he took, he was still making accurate throws whether in the pocket or on the move. His WRs couldn't catch a cold for the most part though.

I was more impressed with the qb App State brought into Death Valley in 2005. My friends and I sat at the game and totally saw the Vick comparisons.
