You're right, I did miss it. With this, I completely agree. Hell...I haven't listened to ESPN for sports commentary since 2003 for the most part. Personally, I do not care one rat's arse what any of these guys think. I know WAAAAAY more about our team than they do.
It bothers me to no end when fans complain that some talking head is dissing their team. He's an idea...quit listening to them!!
But in terms of what they say potentially influencing voters...yeah, I think they can and do. To what extent is really unknown, of course. But look at it this way...even the most well informed SID who is filling out his coach's poll each week can't watch all games. They are relying on highlights without running commentary provided by...you guessed it...ESPN!
