Here is the thing: LSU takes a 17 point lead and then coasts to victory to win 20-14. We just run up the score.

This is fairly accurate portrayal. LSU's performance against weaker competition is meaningless because no one really knows what would have happened if we left our foot on the accelerator.

You have to admit it's funny.

Yeah, a cock strong conference team barely beating a bottom dweller. It happens almost every week in every conference. It happened against TN last year for us. Has it ever happened for Oregon?

We had 'em right where we wanted 'em starting from the first play.

Btw, I really wouldn't rest my analysis on such a small sample size. Football is also about matchups and schemes. Tennessee probably held up better playing 60 snaps compared to 100. They had depth issues and that is exposed due to our scheme.

However, I am more of the opinion that statements like, "The SEC RULZ and Pac 10 drools!" are really germaine to the conversation.

You really don't think that the pac-10-12 is even remotely close to the SEC, do you?

and it was Oregon 15 California 13. So technically, our offense put up 1 more point against a weaker Conference opponent. Therefore, playing better against a weaker conference team.

The main thing I'm focused on is how differently we both played Tennessee. If Oregon beat Tennessee by 10 or less, I would consider LSU and Oregon equal. However, there is such a large discrepancy between how we both played. We handled Tennessee pretty well in their own house and you all struggled in your house. This doesn't really concern you guys, even a little bit?

Nope not at all. Ever heard of a trap game?

LSU:

Oct 2: Tennessee (W)
Oct 9: @ Florida (W)

Oregon:

Sept 11: @ Tennessee (W)
Sept 18: Portland State (W)

LSU was looking ahead imo, it happens. Kinda surprised no one else has brought it up yet
