I'm curious to see your response when we give up 500 yards of offense in this one.

If you want to break it down by Oregon's fav stat, passer efficiency, LSU played 6 in the top 50, 3 in the top 7, compared to 5 in the top 50, 2 in the top 7. But yet, LSU defense was statisticay better, and brings back 8 starters compared to UO's 3.

If Oregon has 500 yards of offense, i will ban myself and NEVER return to TD.

If they don't you do the same. Deal?

No deal. You're just so confident about this one, and I don't see it.

They won't get close to 500, the had 75 rushing yards on auburn and 3?? passing and auburn will admit LSU has way better coverage,

300 give or take 50,

Luck and Newton are the only great QBs listed. Barkley is good. Locker had an AWFUL senior year. I haven't even heard of the rest of those

Just because you do not know them does not mean they are not good. Write to Ted Miller on ESPN's CF blog and ask him if they are good QB's.

btw, my bad. Ya, I forgot we did not play Jake Locker last year as he was injured for our game. However we did play him 3 STRAIGHT years before last year. Oops.

Oregon lost their go to wide receiver and their number 2, Maehl and Davis. Maehl in particular will be very hard to replace in the first game of the season. But Josh Huff is a Percy Harvin type player and Paulson their 6-4" tight-end will be playing on Sundays. I am guessing that Touency who is a senior and has experience will be their new number 1. Kenyon Barner and Huff will return punts and kick orrs and these guys are good and proven. Like I said Huff is a gamer with speed. To be honest, if the Ducks offensive line stacks up. Their offense will still be tough. Losing 2 more starters on defense hurts but they will still represent.

I do agree with one poster who said its about points not yards. I am in the camp that yards do not mean much. And it kind of ticks me off when I see a team win by lots but then see someone say, "but we actually beat you because we had more yards ect. ect.) I know for our team last year our D was not super great but then got good as the season went on. And well, even though we may have given up a lot of yards, our red zone D was very good. We seemed to have a knack at letting teams march on us down the field but then when it got in the red zone we stopped them. Thus we gave up way less points then yards. And well, we also created a boat load of turnovers last year. So that always helps for points but one will not see it for yards. And well, the game of CF is decided upon points, not yards. And plus our Offense was out on the field way shorter of a time then anybody so Defensive stats of yardage did not mean much. So place me also with the other poster in yards to not mean much camp- just points.

BTW, to suggest the PAC 10 QB's are no good is a joke. The PAC has long been known for their QB's, just like the SEC has been known for their D. I cannot remember where I saw it, but many mock 2012 NFL drafts had like 4 PAC QB's in the first round. You all know about Barkley and Luck but Foles is the real deal and WSU has a good QB. You never hear of them because they all get overshadowed by Locker or Luck.

7thward, you keep saying that Oregon is losing 6/7 in the front seven. However, Oregon returns Kaddu and Turner to the front seven. Likewise, Michael Clay (ILB) and Boseko Lokombo (OLB) were top 10 tacklers on our defense. Kaddu, Clay and Lokombo are probably the best starting 3 linebackers we've ever had. Clay is a guy that got a lot of playing time as a true frosh in '09 and no other true frosh in the history of Oregon has ever played this much. He also was the defensive MVP of spring. Bolo is a guy that was offered to play WR for some Pac 10 teams. The top 3 lbs are freakish. Chip moved Pleasant to rover to get Kaddu on the field because the latter was going to pass him. Pleasant was too good to not merit snaps.

Likewise, our DL has Turner who was voted most improved player of the year and he is at SDE; he started the whole season. Turner had 5 tackles in the NCG. Most feel like Turner might get passed up by Hart. That speaks volumes about Hart because Turner has been major component of our defense for two years.

I don't even want to get started about Heimuli and Jordan. These guys are phenomenal and played a major role in the NCG. Jordan had 4 tackles and for a loss against Auburn's offensive line as a back up. Heimuli was on his way to playing 50% of the snaps before sustaining an elbow injury. Heimuli will take over games next year. This is a kid that was rated the #4 DT coming out of high school and unlike freak he has a full year under his belt.

Duck fans that follow this team are very high on the front 7. Believe what you will about returning starters but it's not going to matter. This year's backups are part of our best recruiting classes.

Remember, our seniors put one player in the draft - just one player was drafted in the 4th round. This was not a talent laden class.

This reminds me - LSU's interior is missing Drake Nevis, Levingston, and Sheppard. Montgomery started 6 games and sustained a bad injury. However, your team gets a pass.

Bison and DFnPAC, do y'all believe in Coach Kelly. Do y'all trust him and want him around forever and when he say " we gonna be great this year" do y'all tell other people " coach said we good for this year"

Well when you have a coach like Chavis that has hardly ever not had a top 10 defense, and he says the D-line is the best group of guys he's ever seen....we pretty much have to believe him

Thats why we give them the Pass

McChowder, roll your eyes but Bolo and Clay got substantial time and most duck fans agree that they are an athletic upgrade over last year's starters.
