Byrds biggest problem was byrd. I know our quarterback wasn't good last year, but i saw him drop passes that he should have caught. I also saw him not try to catch some balls that he could have tried to catch. There were times when the ball was in the air and he just expected it to land in his arms and not have to out-hustle a defender for the ball. those are basic wide receiver things that you have to do, he didn't do those basic things this past year and so that cost him, not the quarterback, although it didn't help.

LSU defense was a cancer to the team.

Just thought I'd follow your bright logic.

would be interesting to know how much teams are looking at Facebook and other social sites for insight into players' character.

I agree b/c Lafell kept a good attitude and had a pretty good year.

Hmmm... which is a 43 yd avg. That fact could also lend credence to this

the pick sixes cost him possibly millions

Why? Because of his lack of effort in tackling the guy who made the interception?

If blazing speed Byrd had made a tackle or two, or even been seen on the TV screen anywhere near the interceptor, then maybe those pick sixes would not have existed.

And Byrd would be still in the running for the millions.
