Yeah, the chains were a mystery last night. I was confused a few times

I was stunned.

Huh?

The officiating was terrible. I'm not saying that it was slanted in any particular way but there were some calls that left me scratching my head.

I wonder sometimes if the disproportionate number of penalties called on us is somehow related to the color of our jerseys. We wear white a lot. Maybe it's easier for the refs to see holding and such against a white jersey background.

Just a wild theory.

I would just like to see games called consistently.

Perfectly said. The holding on our hands to the face was far worse than any of our holds. And the ref obviously saw it and ignored it

Eh....there were a couple of calls that went against us that were questionable.......they're going to miss some in EVERY game.......IMHO, the refs did a pretty good job and had little to do with the outcome.....our "conservative" offensive approach was a bigger factor

They were bad. Not AU 2006 bad, but still pretty bad. I could forgive all the other things if they'd at least gotten the first down catch right after the replay.

I thought the holding call on diarse was extremely obvious and the chop block play too. We seriously shot ourselves in the foot on blocking last night.

Not the least of which was the fact that Key was held on damn near every play.

This may be true, but I have a good friend that played OL in college and one year in the NFL, and he said that that there is holding on almost every play. If you get flagged depends on h low flagrant it was an sometimes the refs just don't see it.

Even the announcer was confused.

I was going nuts. Hometown crew just moved the chains. Miles needs to send that shite in to the SEC. He should not have to risk a TO to challenge in that critical moment. That was shady.

It seems like there were a couple of times that a mysterious yard...or three...were added on to the end of their plays.

And taken away from LSU. There was one play where the side judge initially marked a first down but ran in at least a yard off of his original mark.

It's really not LSU fans being homers or butthurt. The officiating by and large goes against LSU at an insane rate compared to other teams. Every big play we had except for two was negated by a holding call. If you're keeping score, that's 6 big plays, 4 called back, 2 went through - 66% of LSU's big plays were called back.

For MSU? Literally one call all came did not come out in their favor and that was a very clear facemask against Fournette. Their last two drives their linemen were molesting our DL and zero holding calls.

It would not be a big deal if it went both ways, it just didn't go both ways last night and that's the shame of the SEC.

No way they could overturn that call - nothing showed the ball did NOT touch the ground. It's just too bad the on the field call was 'incomplete.' It was a catch and certainly nothing showed the ball DID touch. .

The problem is that indisputable evidence is completely inconsistent from week to week, even in the nfl

They need to remove that. Just get the call route and don't use the term as a crutch

Right on Jelly. I was seriously way more pissed about the refs than Miles play calling. The refs did everything they could to screw us. Two Tds called back and that first down that eveyone was like wtf!

But situationally they were worse when LSU's offense made big plays.

Big plays??? What big plays did LSU make without a LEGIT pen called????? Both tds were called back with good reason... Are they supposed to NOT call those just cause they are on LSU???
That's what you sound like...........

Those were legit penalties on the TD's. I thought the holding call on the long DW run at the end of the game was a ticky tack call.

It looked ike they were trying to keep the game close.

MSU OL held all night - no surprise with the lack of holding calls on the MSU. The announcers even pointed out a couple of them.
