The hatchet IS buried. There is no good reason to dig it up and wave it at the neighbors.

I actually think that LSU could be an attractive job. We have history of packing the PMAC. We have been to a Final Four and won a couple of SEC titles in the last 6 years. It's not like football, where someone going to Ole Miss has to compete against Bama's and LSU's. The SEC West in basketball, or if they did away with the divisions, the SEC overall is open for most years, outside of Kentucky. Florida has been good recently, but they don't cast a shadow over the rest of the SEC.
We should be able to get a good coach, if the price is right.

Bobby Cremins and Lynn Nance could always take over the staff and hangout together....

one of john wooden's ears could at least motivate one of these talented stiffs to put a body on a body

I'm not sure I agree. I think it will take boat loads of money to get a coach with a track record at LSU.

ryan reynolds got Darius Miles, Michael Olowokandi, Lamar Odom, and Quentin Richardson motivated in Van Wilder. Its worth a shot.

what do you mean?
obviously the AD is not as worried as you are.
in such cases, its a good thing to dump the AD FIRST.
getting rid of trent is not going to solve it, as long as the person who selected him is still on board. what makes you think he will select someone better. ?

I'm certain I could have our team playing better defense and improve our rebounding. I also would not recruit unathletic post players! Come to think of it, I'm pretty sure I could land at least two front court players that are 6'3" or better. The only issue you would have with me is my marriage would be in shambles if I worked on campus for 15 hours a day.
best of all, I would pack the Pmac for a paltry 500K per year. LSU would have to pony up after year two though, I would be an up and comer at that point.......

Which parts? I laugh at other SEC football schools that think there schools are attractive for coaches. Who wants to go coach at a Kentucky, Ole Miss, or Miss State when you have to compete against the LSU's, Bama's, and Florida's? In SEC basketball, there is only one beast to slay, and you don't have to run through that team in the NCAA tournament until possibly the Final Four. LSU has won the conference as recently as 3 years ago. We went to the Final Four just 6 years ago.
Are we a basketball power, no. Is this a place that you can win at, sure.
